Module 1: Advocacy 101

Learn about your role as a parent in your child's special education team. You will discover the importance of parent advocacy and learn about parent rights in the special education process.

Module 2: Organization

One of the biggest challenge parents face is piles of paperwork.  Parents of children with special education receive improtant documents each year.  You will discover why those documents are important and ways to organize and manage special education documents. 

Module 3: Educate to Empower

Professionals in the special education world often appear to speak a different language.  In this module you will learn to decode the lingo and understand your child's special education plan.  You will also receive in depth training about decoding your child's IEP and empower you to be an active participant in the development of special education services.

Module 4: Top Tips for Parents Advocates

Getting started down the path to effective advacacy can be overwhelming.  In this module, I will share my top tips for parents to acheive effective advocacy. 

Module 5: Overcoming Obstacles

Do you ever feel like you are hitting a wall after every turn during the process of getting your child's special education plan in place? One of the hardest aspects of advocacy is the obstacles. In this module, I will provide strategies and resources to help overcome common obstacles. 

Module 6: Secret Strategies

You will get access to some proven strategies that I have used to help parents get the services and support their child needs!  You will learn some strategies to achieving Compensatory Services, getting a 1:1 a paraprofessional, and ways to get private placement if your child hasn't received FAPE!
